Broadwater Bowling Club

Novacare Retirement Village at Broadwater boasts a four rink bowling green. The well maintained carpeted area is central to the village and has become one of the highlights at this wonderful Village. The arena is floodlit and provides seating and shade and enhanced by attractive gardens.

Several years ago a group of residents was formed to elect a committee and to arrange for an affiliated bowling club to be formed to further expand the interest in the activity. This has proven to be most popular with residents. By being affiliated, the club gives members the added benefits of testing their skills against other teams in the Southwest. The Broadwater Bowling Club now has 44 members (14 social members and 30 affiliated members). Senior members provide coaching sessions to new members and use of the facility is available to all Village residents.

The Broadwater Bowling Club is heavily supported by the Village Proprietors. The exposure of the Village amenities to visiting teams from as far away as Bunbury, Augusta and Nannup has proven most advantageous and has attracted several expressions of interest from retirees looking to enter a new style of sporting and social life.
