Our heated swimming pool affords residents the convenience of year-round access to water fitness and hydro-therapy, at their doorstep. It is well known that healthy ageing involves regular exercise for building strength, flexibility, endurance, mobility and balance, slowing age-related loss of muscle mass, increasing metabolism, improving cardiovascular health, aiding quality of sleep and positively impacting mental outlook.<\/p>\n
Water in particular enables unloading of the joints to provide low-impact and low-weight bearing exercise, which can allow for stiff and aching joints to move more freely and can minimise the risks of injury \u2013 all the while continually strengthening muscles and joints through the constant resistance. A warm aquatic environment also reduces joint inflammation and improves circulation.<\/p>\n
