{"id":10527,"date":"2021-06-03T16:47:13","date_gmt":"2021-06-03T08:47:13","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.novavillage.com.au\/?p=10527"},"modified":"2021-06-09T11:17:24","modified_gmt":"2021-06-09T03:17:24","slug":"biggest-morning-tea-delight","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.novavillage.com.au\/news\/biggest-morning-tea-delight\/","title":{"rendered":"Biggest Morning Tea Delight"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>What an incredible turn out for our Biggest Morning Tea fundraiser on Thursday 27 May, raising over $1200 to help Cancer Council continue working towards their vision of a cancer-free future.<\/p>\n<p>Money raised will go towards providing much-needed support services for WA families affected by cancer, funding life-saving cancer research, and running state-wide education and prevention programs to empower the community to reduce their cancer risk.<\/p>\n<p>Some very generous donations came in from residents for our raffle which included lovely roast dinners, curry, wine, cheese &amp; chocolates, lunch voucher for our restaurant, a pretty mug, handcrafted paper purses, crocheted rug &amp; handmade wind chimes. Plus the lovely banana loaf &amp; delicious scones made by Delys which were enjoyed by all. Thank you to everyone who donated these items, your time &amp; money to make the fundraiser such a success.<\/p>\n<p>Too many of us have lost someone we love to cancer so every sip of every cuppa and every dollar raised makes a difference to so many lives and ensures no one faces cancer alone.
